What We Buy
The worldwide market for fancy colored diamonds is complex and highly specialized. Values are derived from thinly traded volumes and very slight color differences can have a big impact on value.
myGemma can purchase fancy colored diamonds that are set in items of jewelry and loose stones, with a value of up to $10m.
Colors we buy include: Fancy Pinks, Fancy Blues, Fancy Greens, Fancy Oranges, Fancy Violets, Fancy Reds and Fancy Yellows.
Sell GIA Certified Fancy Colored Diamonds
By sharing a copy of your GIA certificate we are able to provide you with an accurate price range before you make an appointment or send in for valuation. The price range we will provide will take into account a final valuation where we will determine whether the color gradings are strong (fancy vivid) or weak (faint or light) and the rarity of your stones on the international diamond markets.
Please note: We only purchase fancy colored diamonds that are GIA certified.

About Fancy Colored Diamonds
Fancy colored diamonds can often command high resale values and jewelers are often restricted in the capital they have to spend on diamond purchases and are not likely to be interested in purchasing these kinds of stones. The same can be said for most online diamond buyers and many diamond dealers who do not specialize in fancy colored diamonds. They are unlikely to have the capital or knowledge to consider buying stones of this nature or make a serious offer. The market is very different to the colorless diamond market where there are many industry players and participants.
myGemma has connections with some of the most knowledgeable and connected dealers in the world and can provide a convenient and trusted solution to sell.
myGemma is an established diamond trading company with a worldwide footprint and reputation. We deal with industry participants and customers of all sizes, from private customers to large corporations to individual dealers. As a result of our size, we have access to live price changes for goods of any category including very large colored diamonds, which guarantees that we will pay you a competitive price for your stone on any given day. We also run our business to the highest ethical standards and are proud to align ourselves with the major trade bodies in the industry.
Sell Fancy Pink Diamonds
Typically mined in India, Brazil and Australia, pink diamonds are among the rarest colored diamonds. A combination of heat and pressure distort the crystal lattice to give the diamond its pink color. Pink can be modified by brown (worst for value!), orange and purple.
When looking to sell fancy pinks, it is important to understand that value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with vivid being the rarest and most valuable.
Sell Fancy Blue Diamonds
Representing less than 0.1% of all fancy colored diamonds mined, fancy blue diamonds are extremely rare, which is good news for those looking to sell fancy blue diamonds. Given their color by boron particles trapped in the crystal lattice at formation, blue diamonds are typically classified as Type IIb (signifying a very limited number of nitrogen impurities). Type Ia are even rarer and are blue due to a hydrogen component. Blue diamonds can have violet, gray or green modifiers (e.g. fancy greenish blue).
Value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with fancy vivid blue diamonds being the rarest and most valuable.
Sell Fancy Green Diamonds
The green hue of a fancy green diamond is caused by natural radiation, mainly uranium, and beta and gamma rays. The green color might only be in patches and sometimes a green diamond will be polished and its colored “skin” might be left untouched, showing that the diamond is naturally colored. Fancy green diamonds are extremely rare and valuable. Green diamonds modified by blue, yellow and brown can be worth significantly less. Sell fancy green diamonds to myGemma for the best prices.
Value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with fancy vivid green being the rarest and most valuable.
Sell Fancy Red Diamonds
Fancy red diamonds are the most sought after and the rarest of colors. Sell fancy red diamonds for the best prices with myGemma. Often modified by a purplish color, it is believed that reds gain their color from defects in the diamond’s crystal lattice. Reds do not have a saturation level, so you won’t see the notation “fancy vivid red”.
Value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with vivid being the rarest and most valuable.
Sell Fancy Yellow Diamonds
Nitrogen in a diamond gives it its yellow hue and fancy yellow diamonds are the most popular of fancy colored diamonds – and one of the less expensive colors. Yellow diamonds can have green, brown and orange modifiers.
Value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with vivid being the rarest and most valuable. Sell fancy yellow diamonds today, start by filling out our online form.
There is a large difference in value for naturally colored diamonds (high value) and color treated diamonds (low value). myGemma can only purchase naturally colored stones.
Sell Fancy Orange Diamonds
Even rarer than fancy pinks, fancy blues and fancy greens, fancy orange diamonds – completely void of any brown color, are very valuable. Modified oftentimes with yellow, pink and brown, orange diamonds gain their color from nitrogen.
Value typically increases as saturation of color increases. Fancy color diamonds range from light to fancy to fancy intense to fancy vivid, with fancy vivid orange being the rarest and most valuable. Find out how much you could receive if you sell your fancy orange diamond today.
Sell Fancy Violet Diamonds
If you are looking to sell fancy violet diamonds, you are in the right place. Fancy violet diamonds are very rare and also gain their color due to the presence of hydrogen. Violet diamonds often have a gray modifier.
Fancy violet diamonds don’t have a saturation level, just like fancy red diamonds, but unlike most other colored diamonds.
